Class teacher – Mrs C Knight

Miss Bury and Miss Mitchell also support us with our work in class.

Welcome to Year 3, our class team will do all we can to make sure your child enjoys their time in our class.

Please email mrsknight@holytrinitycofe.lancs.sch.uk if you have any questions. I will try my best to reply during school hours.

Where Did The Bible Come From? | Simply Catholic Our class Bible Verse is 'Do to others what you want them to do to you.'

Matthew 7:12

Our P.E. days are Monday and Wednesday. Please make sure your child's P.E. kit is labelled and in school at the start of each half-term. We will send P.E. kits home to be washed at the end of each half-term.

Home Reading.

Reading at home is a vital part of your child's progress and homework. Ideally, reading for a short time every night would be wonderful. However, the minimum expectation as part of homework is three times per week. Please make sure you sign your child's reading record and use this to make any comments about how your child read the book.

Reading books will be changed on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays in school.

Our Library day is Thursday and children will be given the opportunity to visit the school library to choose a book for you to share at home.

Homework Grid

The homework for each half-term can be found below and is also inserted into your child's homework book. Your child should choose one activity box each week and complete the task in their books, if appropriate. Please see homework books for more details. Homework will be given out every Friday and should be returned to school no later than Thursday morning to allow it to be marked.

Don't forget to access your child's TT Rockstars account to practise times-tables facts and letterjoin to practice your handwriting. Logins for both of these can be found in the front of the homework books.
