Our Subject Leader for Music is Mrs G Scholes

At Holy Trinity C of E Primary School, we aim to give all of our pupils a high quality music education that is engaging and inspires a love of music. We incorporate a combination of listening to and evaluating music, singing, playing instruments (both tuned and untuned) and performing, with the purpose of promoting confidence and creativity in all of our learners.

In our lessons, we follow the Charanga Musical School scheme, which allows progression in the National Curriculum objectives in an exploratory and child-led way.

There are a variety of musical opportunities for the children at Holy Trinity, including whole key stage, ensemble and solo performances. Our Music curriculum is also enhanced by opportunities such as Let’s Go Sing! performances and whole-class Lancashire Music Service instrumental tuition. Extra-curricular opportunities include the school choir, plus the opportunity to take part in small-group guitar tuition.
