Welcome to Year 2!

Our teacher is Mrs Law.

Miss Hartley, Miss Reid, Mrs Fawcett (am) and Mrs Gidney (pm) support us with our work.

Our class Bible verse is ‘Blessed are the peacemakers for they shall be called the children of God.’

Read, Write Inc. Phonics Scheme.

The children will be continuing with the Read, Write Inc. Scheme and this will be taught in small groups. Reading books will be sent home to support children’s learning. We ask the children read these three times to increase their fluency. Reading books will be changed on a Monday and a Thursday.

PE

PE with Mr. Little is every Monday and Friday

Please ensure PE kits are in school and that each item of the PE kit is clearly labelled with your child’s name.

Thank you.

 

Homework will be given every Friday and will be expected to be returned by the following Wednesday.

Spellings will set on Edshed every Friday. These need to be practised as there will be a spelling test the following Friday.

Our class library day is a Thursday.
